REECH-Residential, Educational
&
Entrepreneurial Care Homes
REECH partners with cities and government agencies to provide residential, educational, and entrepreneurial care homes for young adults transitioning out of the foster care system in the DFW area.
The Problem
Why this matters — stat-driven urgency block
"20,000+ youth age out of foster care in Texas every year"
"1 in 5 become homeless within 2 years of aging out"
"Less than 3% receive adequate transitional housing support"
"REECH is changing that — one young adult at a time"
What we do
Caring for the whole person
Residential
A stable home — not just a roof
We provide safe, trauma-informed transitional housing for young adults ages 18–24 who are aging out of foster care in the DFW area. Every resident is met with structure, mentorship, and the dignity of a true home — not a shelter.
Educational
A pathway to knowledge and credentials
REECH connects residents with GED preparation, college enrollment support, vocational training, and scholarship resources. We believe education is the most powerful tool against the cycle of poverty that traps so many former foster youth.
Entrepreneurial
Skills to earn, save, and thrive
Through financial literacy workshops, job readiness training, and micro-business mentorship, we equip residents with the real-world tools to achieve economic independence within 18–24 months of joining the REECH community.
How we work
From referral to independence — our process
REECH works directly with government agencies, DFPS caseworkers, and city partners to identify and support eligible youth. Here is how the process works from first contact to successful transition.

Our Journey
REECH is a nonprofit committed to empowering youth aging out of foster care with residential support, life skills, and overall adult training within a caring, faith-based environment. We equip young adults for independence and success.
Our Promise
REECH was founded to serve youth transitioning out of foster care, especially Black youth disproportionately impacted by systemic issues. Our focus is on creating a safe, supportive environment where all young adults can succeed and achieve their full potential through compassionate, culturally aware programs.
Our Focus
We empower youth through targeted programs like leadership chats, talent shows, and educational tours, fostering confidence, skills, and smart decision-making for their future.
Our Mission
REECH homes offer structure to assure that all TAYA are exposed to best practices in faith-based family dynamics and environmentally-friendly practices; therefore, they will have a strong foundation to break the generational cycle of foster care.
Our vision
To provide stable, trauma-informed transitional homes that empower youth aging out of foster care through housing, education, and entrepreneurship — so that no young adult leaves the system without a community, a plan, and a future.
What drives us
Our core values
Dignity first
Every young person we serve is treated with unconditional respect — regardless of their past.
Measurable outcomes
We track housing stability, education enrollment, and employment — because good intentions must produce real results.
Trauma-informed care
We understand the wounds our residents carry and build all programming around healing, not just housing.
Community accountability
We partner with city leaders, agencies, and neighbors to be a responsible, visible community asset.
